Minutes from the March 21, 2012 meeting; call for nominations on the board, leadership symposium and instructors institute (opportunities for candidates to experience leadership skills at AWS Miami July 15-20 and July 29-Aug1), SKILLS USA welding contest held at the University of Alaska (winner Andrey Zagorodniy), AWS section to award $500 toward nationals, Ron Theis was the speaker “Qualifying Welding Procedures” in a discussion over D1.1 prequalified CJP and PJP WPS’s and variables listed in tables. April 25th is scheduled to be student night-door prizes, free food, educational materials, to attract new members. The section executive board will meet in early April to review the By-laws and prepare for the district meeting May 5, 2012.
