Event Description:H. & S. Machine Company, Inc. was established in 1948 by Ralph Houtte and Russell Schwarzenburg both Wentworth
Institute graduates and employees of General Electric Company.
The focus of the business was the design and fabrication of
custom machinery and components for the textile, leather and plastics industries.
Since then, the customer base has grown to include the
fabrication of prototype and testing equipment for use in
aeronautical, pharmaceutical, educational and Research &
Development industries. H. & S. presently is working with
customers in Canada, Mexico, Europe, Indonesia and the U. S.
Due to the varied requirements of its customers, H. & S.
utilizes a combination of manual and CNC equipment. H. & S. is a
family run corporation with third generation members of the
family involved.
