Chairman Update:
I thought, I would take a minute and welcome everyone back for another great year of AWS activities. The officers that you elected have been hard at work lining up meetings and we hope that you will have the time to attend at least one meeting. In working with planning the meetings we have tried to tie the dates down to facilitate travel and plans. The other thing we are trying this year is reaching out farther into our broad service area. There are many great things that have taken place in the last year under the leadership of Diane Steadham and I hope I can fill those shoes effectively. A couple big things we will be working on this year include offering PDH’s for technical presentations, the 2nd annual Student Night, and a booth at the Steel Days Event in Salina. Please save the following dates for meetings, more details to follow as soon as I get them.
September 13, 2012 – Meeting at RV Products (Meeting Flier Attached)
September 22, 2012- Steel Days, PKM Steel in Salina we will have a booth set up at this event. If interested in helping let me know. http://www.pkmsteel.com/steel-day
October 11, 2012 – 2nd Annual Student Night – Hutchinson Community College
November 8, 2012 – Tentatively to be held in the Salina Area
December – No meeting
January 19, 2013 – 4th Annual Bowling tournament (Wichita)
• February 21, 2013- HCC, David Landon- AWS Vice President
• March 14, 2013- Caterpillar Work Tools – Wamego KS
• April 11, 2013- Kasa Fabrication – Salina, KS
• May 16, 2013- Kuhn Krause – Hutchinson, KS
June ? 2013 – Year Closer Meeting – Wingnut’s Baseball Game Date depends on their schedule
