Come join us for Education Night which will consist of a variety of events. We will be watching a video presentation during the meal, listening to a guest speaker, awarding scholarships to students, and drawing raffle tickets for prizes. April is National Welding Month and AWS has a sent out a video to celebrate it. The video will cover interviews from three tech school graduates, a commentary provided by the AWS President Bill Rice, and also a promotional video from Jay Leno.
We will be raffling off the following prizes which help with the scholarships that will be given out also.
1st Prize: Custom Smoker/Grill
2nd Prize: Oxy/Acetylene Welding and Cutting Outfit
3rd Prize: Lampton Grab Bag and $50
Winners need not be present to claim.
Dennis Wright, who is our AWS district representative, will be discussing a variety of topics such as the Welding Merit Badge, scholarships, and the amount of welders being needed across the country.
Come join us when we go tour the UNL Memorial Stadium. The tour will start in the new Osborne complex, move into the new Hawks practice area, then thru the tunnel walk onto the field for a 6 minute game day video. Please RSVP with Brent Wohl because we are only allowed 75 people for the tour. Please meet at the north entrance of the stadium at the Osborne complex entrance.
